Custom Backboard Shapes

Our custom backboard shapes feature allows you to upload your own SVG which will be used as the backboard image. Almost all types of shapes are supported.

Considerations when working with SVG files.

  • For the best results and compatibility, ensure your SVG uses "fill" attributes instead of "stroke" attributes.

  • Use SVGs that are solid-filled shapes. Below is an example to clearly illustrate what solid-filled shapes are.


How to enable custom backboard shapes

  1. Navigate to the admin of Sign Customiser for your store.
  2. Click on the "Customisers" menu item in the homescreen.
  3. Click on the customiser you wish to edit.
  4. Click on "Backboards" from the left side menu.
  5. Create a new Backboard.
  6. Select "Custom Shape" from the "Backboard type" dropdown.
  7. Upload your SVG file or select a shape from our library.
  8. Adjust the padding in the preview so that the sign contents fit within your shape

  1. Save your new backboard.
  2. Tap "preview" in the top right to view your new backboard on the customiser.
